The forthcoming film Ramayana, which is a mythological tale directed by Nitesh Tiwari and featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravan, will have Vivek Oberoi playing Vibhishan. The media was told by Oberoi, “I told Namit that I don’t want a single penny for this. I want to give it away for any cause I support – children with cancer.”
Why the Cause is Important
Oberoi has been active in the cancer care movement through his foundation and partnerships with charities. His decision regarding Ramayana coincides with the film’s major ambition and goes along with the film’s and India’s ability in using its own grand epics. He remarked, “I just love the thought behind this, and I think India will be on the world film map with a bang.”
Big Film, Bigger Intentions
The project, Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, is gigantic – a vast ambition, profound mythology, real history, and top-notch visuals. The donation of Oberoi’s fee to charity only adds more significance to the project. While the film is being made, his act has drawn attention not merely as an act of goodwill but as a declaration of cinema with conscience.

Ramayana will come out in two parts. While Part: I is going to be released on Diwali, 2026. Part: II all set to release on Diwali, 2027.
