Varun Dhawan Hasn’t Deleted His LinkedIn Profile

The rumor that Varun Dhawan deleted his LinkedIn account after being trolled is false. The actor still has his profile on the professional networking site. Here’s what really happened.

Varun Dhawan’s LinkedIn profile

The Internet is buzzing about Varun Dhawan removing his account on LinkedIn after getting trolled by netizens on social media. However, this information is wrong and unfounded because you can still find his profile on the professional platform LinkedIn using key search words.

Five days back, the ‘Bhediya’ actor joined LinkedIn, which is a professional networking platform connecting employees and employers across the globe. After joining the professional networking site as an actor, investor, and assistant director for almost 13 years in Bollywood, he was ridiculed for this action.

Who would have thought joining a networking site would bring so much flake for an established actor? So, you can guess what happened next: trolls started making memes and comments on the actor’s decision to join LinkedIn as an actor.

On one hand, Varun got 20,000 followers in a day on the platform, while on the other hand, trolls couldn’t wait to tear apart the star. One netizen criticized him on his LinkedIn self-description, “passionate actor with 300-crore mega-hits.” Others think it’s a new promotion strategy for the actor to start his account on this platform.

The actor himself shared the news of his joining the platform, writing, “What excites me most about being here is the opportunity to connect with professionals from all industries—not just entertainment.” So, fans and foes started looking for the actor on the platform amidst ongoing trolling but couldn’t find him after four days.

However, the actor is still on LinkedIn and has not deleted his account and instead opted to hide his account. He probably switched off his profile visibility through the LinkedIn ‘Your profile’s public visibility’ page. So, now you cannot find him using his name on a LinkedIn search but keywords associated with his acting persona, like actor.

Varun Dhawan has posted a video on his LinkedIn profile collaborating with AJIO, featuring Shraddha Kapoor. The video highlights how to crack an interview with AJIO as he became the brand ambassador for the company. Now that we have busted the rumor of Varun Dhawan deleting this account on the professional networking site, what are your thoughts about getting trolled for joining a networking site?
