The Live Love Laugh Foundation (LLL) was initiated by Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone back in 2015, and currently it marked its 10th anniversary with a visit to Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh. Alongside the head chairperson, Dr. Shyam Bhat, and CEO Anisha Padukone, Deepika celebrated the event coinciding with World Mental Health Day and the appropriate occasion for an organization that has become a symbol of education and awareness within the country’s mental wellness sphere. For the past 10 years the foundation has concentrated on normalizing discussions about psychological disorders and mental health conditions, encouraging honest conversation and training practices for prevention and local community care. The Chhindwara visit represented a full-circle moment, from just beginning as a campaign of hope to transforming into a nationwide platform that empowers and uplifts individuals to boost their mental health systems.
Reflecting with Partners and Beneficiaries
The commemorative visit was beyond being just a formal occasion; it served as a chance for meaningful introspection and collecting teamwork effort. The foundation members interacted with local community mental health professionals and program beneficiaries, making them participate in honest conversations and discussing their achievements, progress, challenges, and future long-term goals. Via participatory workshops, they emphasize the significance of community-based mental programs, most importantly in the rural and semi-urban areas across India. The event also demonstrated the measurable influence of the foundation’s ongoing projects and initiatives, from awareness-driven programs in schools to livelihood-oriented therapeutic activities. The testimonials of participants about their stories of resilience and recovery brought authenticity and sincerity to the foundation’s long-standing contribution.
Inspiring Change, One Conversation at a Time
Deepika Padukone has been very open about her personal journey with mental health, and, as such, this event was very personal for her. She stated again that mental health is a vital part of general health, and it is never right to consider it as a luxury. The foundation’s approach, which combines understanding, research, and collaboration, continues to break down barriers and bring new people, from different backgrounds, to talk about mental health. To be certain that mental health care is a structural priority in India, Dr. Shyam Bhat pointed out that the next ten years will be committed to the growth of community programs, upgrading the skills of health professionals, and policy making.
Ten Years of Impact and Hope
As Live Love Laugh celebrates this milestone, it reminds us that being kind and speaking up for others can make a difference. The foundation still believes that “you are not alone,” and it has grown from its first awareness campaign to building long-term partnerships all over India.
Deepika Padukone and her team went to Chhindwara to celebrate ten years of making a difference. They also design the plan for the upcoming decade, which will be completely dedicated to mental awareness, inclusivity, and the aspiration for an ideal in which mental health issues are taken care of.
