The heavily awaited Tamil movie Suriya 46, which has Venky Atluri as the director, has wrapped up its shooting schedule. Initially, the news came to light when one of the crew members posted a picture of the camera unit on social media with the description “It’s a wrap #Suriya46,” which raised the fans’ excitement. Even though there hasn’t been an official statement yet, the film’s end indicates the beginning of the post-production process for the most awaited release of the upcoming year since its poster announcement.

A Star-Studded Cast
Saravanan Sivakumar, known professionally as Suriya, plays the lead in the movie, with Mamitha Baiju as the female lead. Senior actors Raveena Tandon, Bhavani Sri, and Radhika Sarathkumar are also in significant parts. The film highlights family feelings and ties, which are all crafted through careful set design, casting, and storytelling. It is said that Suriya is having a younger look for the film.
Director’s Vision
In a recent interview, as per reports, the director, Venky Atluri, characterized the movie as “a total happy family film” and “profoundly human emotionally.” Moreover, he pointed out that Suriya’s personality would share some of the traits of Sanjay Ramasamy from Ghajini, thereby indicating the possible presence of intensity and emotional depth. The first-look poster, which was unveiled on Suriya’s birthday, generated excitement and high expectations among the audience.
Technical Team and Music
In the movie, the technical crew has G.V. Prakash as the music composer, who is working for the third time with Venky Atluri and has once again teamed up with Suriya after Soorarai Pottru. As per reports, the summer 2026 release is backed by high production values thanks to cinematographer Nimish Ravi and editor Naveen Nooli, who are the technical support. The producers are anticipated to reveal the title and first look very shortly, as they have a summer 2026 theatrical release already planned.
Moreover, the film has been approved for a blockbuster OTT deal with Netflix, the amount of which has not been disclosed but is rumored to be very high, thus making the public wait for further information with great eagerness.
