Surf While You Soar With Air India: India’s First Domestic In-Flight WiFi Service

Air India now offers in-flight Wi-Fi on domestic flights, allowing passengers to stay connected, work, or enjoy entertainment while flying at no extra cost.

Air India launches in-flight Wi-Fi service on domestic flights

2025 brings great news for domestic flyers flying with Air India. Air India has launched in-flight Wi-Fi services on its domestic flights. Customers can now fly across India for work or educational purposes and avail themselves of flyers service on their Air India flights.

This is the first time any Indian aviation carrier has provided such connectivity in domestic flights. You can now surf your favorite movies, complete that important assignment, check your work emails, or work on upcoming projects while flying from one city to another.

A great initiative by Air India to provide much-needed internet connectivity to enhance travel experience across India. This WiFi service is provided at no additional cost in select Airbus A321 Neo aircraft. However, if you are flying on Boeing 787-9 aircraft and Airbus A350 aircraft, you can also enjoy this service at no cost.

So, how do you get access to this service? It’s simple: just turn on your WiFi and select “Air India WiFi.” However, your in-flight WiFi will start after the aircraft reaches 10,000 feet above the ground. You can connect any device with the service and connect with your professional or personal networks in flight.

Chief Customer Experience Officer of Air India, Rajesh Dogra, said, “Connectivity is now an integral part of modern travel. For some, it is about the convenience and comfort of real-time sharing, while for others, it is about greater productivity and efficiency. Whatever be one’s purpose, we are confident that our guests will appreciate having the option of connecting to the web and enjoying the new Air India experience on board these aircraft.”

Initially, Air India experimented with the Wi-Fi service on its international flights to New York, Paris, Singapore, and London. The success of the service in these flights made possible the domestic in-flight Wi-Fi services. So, are you ready to surf while soaring across India?
