Smriti Mandhana Deletes Wedding Posts as Marriage With Palash Muchhal Gets Postponed Amid Family Health Emergency

Smriti Mandhana has removed all wedding-related posts from Instagram after postponing her marriage with Palash Muchhal. The decision came following her father’s unexpected health scare just before the wedding day.

In a surprising turn of events, Indian cricket sensation Smriti Mandhana erased all her wedding pictures and videos from social media after the marriage to music composer Palash Muchhal was postponed. The duo’s wedding, which had been talked about a lot online with pre-wedding glimpses in the last few days and was scheduled for November 23, 2025, was cancelled because of an unexpected health crisis in Smriti’s family. As the rumors about the couple having problems grew and the trolls started attacking Palash, his sister, singer Palak Muchhal, intervened and supported him publicly.

Father’s Health Scare Leads to Postponement

According to media reports, a medical emergency occurred in the Mandhana family when Smriti’s father, Shrinivas Mandhana, allegedly suffered severe pain and was immediately taken to the hospital. He was kept under observation, and, therefore, the families decided to suspend the wedding for the time being. The wedding was initially set for November 23 in Sangli, Maharashtra, in Smriti’s hometown, with only very close relatives and friends present.

Social Media Posts Taken Down

Not long after the health scare, Smriti quietly deleted all her posts from the wedding, which included the engagement moments, haldi, sangeet celebrations, and even a proposal clip that received wide attention. Smriti’s Instagram was free of all wedding content, but older pictures with Palash, such as birthday posts and casual snapshots, were still there, which led to the conclusion that the decision had more to do with the sensitive situation than with relationship problems. Jemimah Rodrigues and Shreyanka Patil, two of her teammates, have also removed the announcement video from their social media accounts.

Palash Muchhal Also Hospitalized

To make matters worse, many media outlets have disclosed that Palash Muchhal was also hospitalized at a Sangli hospital very soon after the news got out. While the early reports pointed to stress as the cause, later on, the doctors declared that the tests were normal. His mother said that the sudden emotional impact had a very negative effect on him.

Family Requests Privacy

Singer Palak Muchhal, who is Palash’s sister, posted a public note asking for privacy for both families during this time of difficulty. She pointed out that the delay was only because of the health emergency and asked the public not to guess or disseminate false information. No new wedding date has been announced by either family, and they are currently focusing on the recovery of their family members.

Pre-Wedding Celebrations That Went Viral

The couple’s wedding celebrations had gained massive popularity online before the unexpected turn of events. The delightful atmosphere around the event was highlighted by the dance performances, haldi rituals, and a friendly cricket match between the “Bride Team vs. Groom Team,” which were all captured on video and shared widely. Nevertheless, Smriti has now removed these posts.

Fans React and Speculate

The fans were left dumbfounded by the quick cleanup on social media platforms. Some attributed it to emotional factors, others to the Indian superstition of preventing the “evil eye.” Smriti’s team has, however, put a stop to the gossip by stating that the only reason behind it is her father’s hospitalization.

What’s Next for the Couple?

Right now, both families are prioritizing recovery and taking care of themselves. A rescheduled wedding date has not been announced yet. Smriti, who is known for keeping her private life away from the public eye, might only start interacting with the public again when her father’s health situation gets better.

On the other hand, the wedding post deletions have caused a stir of negative assumptions online; some netizens are even spreading unverified stories, and among them are the wildest rumors that the groom may have been unfaithful or that the couple had a breakup.

Such speculations, although completely inaccurate, can have a negative impact on a couple that is already under emotional stress, hence adding to it and affecting their mental health. In a case like this, misinformation can be the reason for a breakup, causing more misunderstandings and taking away the spotlight from the real issue, so being respectful and providing privacy is essential.
