Shraddha Kapoor Injured During Lavani Dance on Eetha Set; Shooting Temporarily Halted

Shraddha Kapoor sustained a left foot fracture while filming a Lavani dance number for the biopic Eetha, forcing the production team to temporarily halt shooting, though close-up scenes were continued at Madh Island.

Shraddha Kapoor performing a traditional Lavani dance

Shraddha Kapoor’s upcoming biopic Eetha shooting got caught off guard when the actress got hurt during an energetic Lavani dance scene. While they were shooting, the actress’s fast-paced steps fractured her left foot’s toe. Once the incident happened, the production crew made the decision to stop the filming to ensure her proper healing.

Details of the Incident
Shraddha Kapoor, who was in a traditional Nauvari saree and kamarpatta, had to do a series of steps very fast to the rhythm of the dholki. To represent the character of young Vithabai genuinely, she put on more than 15 kilos to correspond with the artist’s body shape. One time, while doing a very complicated step, Shraddha accidentally shifted her whole weight onto her left foot; she lost balance, and her toe broke.

The disaster was totally unexpected according to sources, and everybody was taken aback. Even though the vigorous dance routine had been practiced very well, the quick tempo and strenuous foot movement of the Lavani dance made the moment liable to errors. On-site medical personnel took care of Shraddha right away, and the production quickly arranged the steps to keep her from getting any more tired.

Adjustments Made on Set
An inside source revealed that despite Laxman Utekar’s director overkill decision, Shraddha proposed close-ups so the production wouldn’t be wasted. Once they got back to Mumbai, the crew started filming at the Madh Island set while Shraddha was already doing emotional scenes where her injury was getting healed.

Temporary Shoot Pause for Recovery
The shooting is to fully resume at the time when Shraddha gets well, which is supposed to take nearly two weeks as per reports. On the other hand, the less strenuous scenes are being given priority so that the shooting goes on without affecting her injury.
