2025 is another year of the star kids launch in Bollywood, with Ibrahim Ali Khan debuting with ‘Nadaaniyan’ and Shanaya Kapoor debuting with ‘Tu Yaa Main.’ While Ibrahim Ali Khan looks dapper in his debut film, his acting fails to grab the audience’s attention. On the other hand, Shanaya Kapoor has captured audiences’ attention with her acting with just the teaser of ‘Tu Yaa Main.’
Tu Yaa Main Trailer Gives a Glimpse of Shayana Kapoor’s Potential in Bollywood
The teaser of ‘Tu Yaa Main’ marks the debut of Shanaya Kapoor alongside actor Adarsh Gourav, showing potential for the star kid among her peers, Suhana Khan, Ibrahim Ali Khan, and Khushi Kapoor. On 11 March, the teaser of Bejoy Nambiar’s survival film was launched, giving us a peek into the film that shows a promising drama.
While Adarsh Gourav has impressed critics and audiences with his acting in Kho Gaye Hum Kahan and The White Tiger, his chemistry with Kapoor adds a new dimension to his acting skills. Shanaya Kapoor has yet to show her skills on screen however, fans feel she might be better than other Bollywood peers when it comes to acting and dialogue delivery.
From a glimpse of the film, the audience was pleasantly surprised with her acting while other fans are waiting for the whole film to unveil her true potential. A fan writes, “Difficult to guess the plot, but Adarsh looks phenomenal. Surprisingly, Shanaya doesn’t look bad, and her diction seems fine, which was unexpected. If the film is interesting, it could get a good opening since it’s releasing on Valentine’s Day. Just hope Kanika Dhillon is nowhere near this film.”
Another fan writes, “She act better Than kushi and Ibraham Khan.” Another fans chimes in teh comment section with “I think Shanaya is looking better with her expression screen presence! Don’t know why her debut was delayed so much and trolled unnecessarily! All the best girl.”
Among all these comments, another fan had high hopes from the cast and film until Shanaya’s scream ruined it all: “The music, cinematography, and editing are tight. For a second, Shanaya convinced me she might at least outperform her cousins… until she did the scream.”
Whatever might be the cause, most comments are leading towards a more hopeful star kid when it comes to acting. However, truth be told, only after watching the whole film can one make the right judgement on this new Kapoor kid in town.
Shanaya Kapoor Comes From A Family Of Actors and Directors
Shanaya Kapoor is the daughter of actor Sanjay Kapoor and Real Housewife of Bollywood fame Maheep Kapoor. Shanaya Kapoor has acting in her blood from her father’s side, belonging to the Kapoor Clan. Anil Kapoor is her uncle, while Sonam Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, and Khushi Kapoor are her cousins.
Her father also acted in Bollywood films for some time during the 1990s and early 20s. However, a series of unsuccessful films led him to leave acting, but he did continue producing several Bollywood films. Shanaya’s uncle, Boney Kapoor, is a producer and director of several 80s and 90s films. So, you can see how far this star kid’s nepotism history goes.
