Samsung is at it again-poking fun at Apple. This time, the target is the newly launched iPhone 16. During a recent event in Cupertino, California, Apple announced their new lineup of four models: the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max, plus new Apple Watch models and updated AirPods. As the world tuned in, Samsung took to social media with a pretty cheeky response.
Even the company had tweeted on their official X, “Let us know when it folds,” with an aim at Apple in 2022. Samsung has gone quite a distance in the market of foldable phones with their Galaxy Z Fold5. And the message this time was clear: “Still waiting.
The company dug once more into Apple’s newest AI feature, ‘Apple Intelligence,’ launched with the iPhone 16 series. In another tweet, they wrote, “You know. we may have set your AI expectations too high,” which has simply underlined the fact that Apple’s AI features run miles behind its technology.
This is not the first time Samsung has taken a swipe at Apple. Some time back, Samsung ridiculed an ad by Apple for its iPad Pro. The ad shows a hydraulic press crushing artistic tools, for many, a metaphor of technology stifling creativity. In response, Samsung launched its ad entitled ‘Creativity Cannot Be Crushed’, where a lady is reading music notes on the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra amidst ruins left by Apple’s press.
Samsung said this: “We would never squash creativity.”
But the question remains – Is Samsung right to claim the creative high ground, or is this just another playful rivalry between tech giants?
