Salman Khan Shooting for Battle of Galwan

The festive season of cinema is still on, and Salman Khan is going to be the first one to bring back the elements of patriotism and power with his upcoming war film, Battle of Galwan. The movie based on the real-life 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese troops has been one of the most anticipated projects of next year. After the exhausting and hard shooting schedule in the high-altitude area of Ladakh, Salman and the crew are now ready to start the shooting in Mumbai. The film aims to release on Eid al-Fitr, 2026. It also stars Chitrangada Singh and is produced by Salman Khan himself under his banner, Salman Khan Films.

The Battle of Galwan: Time for the Mumbai Schedule

Salman Khan is preparing to continue shooting for his upcoming war drama, Battle of Galwan, in Mumbai. The film’s first schedule in Ladakh, which included the climax scenes and extreme actions, has come to an end, and it has been confirmed that the team will start working in Mumbai from 12th October, Sunday. Recent news of the puja ceremony before commencing the shoot in Mumbai has already caused excitement among the fans and the media.

Battle of Galwan, based on real-life events, is directed by Apoorva Lakhia and is set during the 2020 Galwan Valley incident, where Indian and Chinese forces resorted to brutal hand-to-hand combat. Salman enacts the character of Colonel B. Santosh Babu, a daring and most admired officer who was at the forefront of the violent conflict, rallying his men.

From Ladakh Intensity to Mumbai Realism

The Ladakh shooting lasted almost a month and was really tough for both the crew and Salman. Constant battling with the rugged terrains, freezing temperatures, and high-altitude shoots really pushed everyone to their limits. Salman himself stated that “action at 59 is not that easy”; he stressed the need to train harder and act carefully in the demanding sequences of cold water and extreme weather, etc.

In the Mumbai locations that the film is now moving to, the crew will be dealing with indoor and urban scenes, most probably the portion of Col. Babu’s personal life. The movie will deal with both parts of his life, showing what it takes to be an army man. Furthermore, some reports also conjecture that the sets in Mumbai were already drawn up, although previous plans for a Mumbai shoot were suspended, to keep the narrative flow of the film intact.
The conclusion belonging to the Ladakh chapter and the beginning of the Mumbai phase mark an important milestone regarding the ‘battle of Galwan’. The movie continues to draw attention because of its remarkable blend of national pride, patriotism, and real history, along with the dedication displayed by Salman Khan. Although the Mumbai shoot leads to a shift in settings, the expectations remain elevated regarding the cinematography, storyline, and emotional core. Currently, fans are eager to know how the upcoming fees will turn out and the way the Battle of Galwan’s vision will shift from rugged terrain to metropolitan environments.
