Adjectives ‘cringe, chapri, embarrassing, and vulgar’ are being used to describe the choreography of the much-awaited Pushpa 2 song ‘Peeling.’ Pushpa 2 stars Telegu actors Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, who gave a blockbuster hit with the previous installment of the movie, Pushpa.
So, fans were quite excited about the release of Pushpa 2 on 5th December, which came after several delays. Additionally, after Pushpa’s ‘Oo Antava’ hit fans were expecting a bang on music and choreography from Pushpa 2 music release. However, the response from the fans of the movie is far from positive, especially on the latest released track, ‘Peeling.’
Peeling is an upbeat song with the potential to impress the audience; however, after watching the song’s videography, fans have different thoughts about the song. A fan writes on social media, “Full chapri shit,” while another fan writes, “This is making me so uncomfortable, eww.”
Peeling is choreographed by Sekhar Vulli Vj, and the Internet feels the song’s choreography is polarizing. A comment on the video reads, “These days choreography has become like soft porn. I don’t understand why actresses say yes to doing this…” Other fans feel that Allu Arjun and Rashmika have no chemistry in the song.
In the Indian film industry, item songs have always sexualized females in a vulgar way, which audiences no longer accept. Still, it seems films and film stars are far from not filming item song numbers in their movies. The audience seems to feel that day-by-day songs are degrading along with their outfits and lyrics.
