Chris Martin visits Mumbai temple with his girlfriend

Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson seek blessings at Mumbai’s Shri Babulnath Temple before his Mumbai concerts. The Coldplay vocalist is accompanied by his partner, Dakota Johnson. Johnson is seen sporting a traditional cotton suit and covering her head with a dupatta to visit the temple, while Chris wears a blue kurta and Rudraksha mala.

The first concert of Coldplay is today, and two more shows are scheduled for the 19th and 21st of January. The clip of the couple’s temple visit has garnered positive attention as they show proper respect for a culture they are unfamiliar with.

Fans are appreciative of the singer and Fifty Shades of Grey actress for their knowledge of Indian traditions. The couple has been captured exploring Mumbai and the Marine Drive a day back as they capture the city’s vibrant culture before immersing themselves in the concert.

The Coldplay concert has been the talk of the town for some time, as the tickets for the same flew by in seconds. If reports are to be believed, 13 million people attempted to purchase tickets to 3 of his shows in Mumbai, which resulted in the crashing of the app. All three Coldplay concerts were sold out within minutes.

Around 70,000 concertgoers are expected to attend the three-day event happening at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. Coldplay consists of vocalist Chris Martin who also co-founded the band and acts as the pianist, composer, and songwriter in the band. The guitarist of the band is Jonny Buckland, drummer Will Champion who also acts as the percussionist, and bassist Guy Berryman.

Martin expressed his excitement about his concert in Ahmedabad with a post on social media: “Namaste to all our friends in India. We’re thrilled to share that on the 26th of January, our show from Ahmedabad will be streaming live on Disney+ Hotstar, so you can watch it from anywhere in India. We hope you’ll join us—we’re so excited to visit your beautiful country. Sending lots of love!”
