NEWME Launches 90-Minute Fashion Delivery

NEWME, a Gen Z-focused fashion startup, recently launched a 90-minute fashion delivery service in the Delhi-NCR region, catering to the growing demand for fast and convenient shopping. Customers can now browse through over 6,000 styles on the NEWME app and have their orders delivered to their doorstep within 90 minutes.

The service is now in some areas like Gurgaon, Dwarka, Palam Vihar, and Cyber Hub. NEWME aims is to deliver fast to solve the problem of long wait times for fast fashion.

The quick-commerce trend has already had a big impact on industries like grocery and household items. Services like Zepto and Blinkit have successfully reduced delivery times to just minutes. However, this approach is fairly new to the fashion industry, especially for fast fashion brands.

NEWME’s decision to launch a 90-minute delivery is largely driven by customer feedback, as many were unhappy with the lengthy wait times often associated with fashion deliveries. However, this is not the first fashion brand to offer such a service.

Luxury retailers like Matchesfashion launched a 90-minute delivery option as far back as 2016, providing same-day delivery within London. Similarly, Farfetch partnered with Gucci to offer a 90-minute “Store to Door” service in cities like New York, Paris, and Milan, aimed at providing luxury customers with fast and convenient access to high-end fashion.

These services were primarily focused on luxury fashion, catering to high-end customers who value time and convenience. NEWME, however, is bringing this concept to fast fashion, making it more accessible to everyday shoppers in India.

As this service rolls out in Delhi-NCR, with plans to expand to other cities like Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad, it will be interesting to see if issues like quality control or returns become a challenge and whether NEWME will be able to overcome them with such speedy deliveries?
