Famous cosmetics brand Max Factor is finally in India. The brand, owned by the big beauty company Coty Inc., has allied with House of Beauty, a New Delhi-based specialty beauty retailer, to introduce the brand to Indian consumers.
The brand would be offering its bestsellers around the globe: foundation, mascara, lipsticks amongst others, to the Indian market. Indian actress and producer Priyanka Chopra Jonas will front Max Factor as the brand’s global ambassador. “We are very excited about this launch,” said Kristina Strunz, managing director of Coty Southeast Asia and India. “Max Factor enters into a new era of growth in India, and we’re incredibly excited to have Priyanka Chopra Jonas leading the expansion of our brand.”.
Max Factor’s products will be available at online marketplaces including Amazon, Myntra, Boddess, and Tata Cliq, aside from being available at the department store Shoppers Stop. The brand will be available in all key beauty retailers across the country by 2025. House of Beauty represents several international brands such as Anastasia Beverly Hills, Kylie Cosmetics, EcoTools, Juice Beauty, Neal’s Yard Remedies. Sanjay Giri, the Chief Business Officer at House of Beauty, said they are elated with the opportunity to add Max Factor into their family of brands and make it available to makeup lovers across India.
Max Factor has a rich history. Founded in 1909 by the Polish-American businessman Maksymilian Faktorowicz, the company was acquired by Procter & Gamble in 1991 and subsequently by Coty in 2015. Founded in 1904 in Paris, Coty is today one of the biggest beauty companies in the world. It is active in more than 125 countries and has in its portfolio a big number of brands for fragrance, color cosmetics, skin, and body care.
Being its ambassador, Priyanka Chopra Jonas thus hopes to capture Indian hearts with Max Factor and make it strong in the Indian beauty market.
