PVR Cinemas is celebrating Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan’s 25-year journey in the film industry with a special film festival. Titled PVRINOX Celebrates 25 Years of Kareena Kapoor Khan, the event will take place from September 20 to 27, 2024, across 30 theaters in 15 cities.
The festival will showcase popular films like Jab We Met, Chameli, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Omkara, Asoka, and her latest movie, The Buckingham Murders. These movies highlight Kareena’s versatility, featuring roles from the lively Geet to the complex Dolly in Omkara, establishing her as one of Bollywood’s most respected actresses.
However, PVR Cinemas has held similar festivals for famous actors before, but this is the first time they’re honoring an Indian female actor in this way. Kareena is really happy and thankful for this and she called it a “dream come true.”
Fans will get a chance to revisit Kareena’s most celebrated performances on the big screen, reliving the memories that defined her career. The festival is not only about remembering the past; it also shows how much she influenced Indian movies and popular culture.
As Bollywood keeps changing, what makes Kareena’s performances still connect with audiences today? Is it her versatility, her skill in playing different characters, or the emotional depth she brings to her roles?
As Bollywood continues to grow and shift, it will be interesting to see how Kareena’s body of work, both past and present, continues to engage audiences.
