Bollywood macho-man, John Abraham comes in support of Karan Johar saying, “There is a lot of criticism around Karan, but I am his strong supporter. I believe that he doesn’t deserve that.” To give you some context to the statement in a recent interview with Filmfare, an entertainment journal in India sat down with John Abraham and shared the most ruthless critic in his life who gave him the best guidance.

Who Is This ‘Most Ruthless Critic’ John Abraham Talking About?

John Abraham has always said that his career in Bollywood is built on criticism so when asked who was his most ruthless critic? He shared it with Aditya Chopra who is both a ruthless critic and best at the same time. He collaborated with Aditya Chopra in Dhoom, New York, Pathaan, Kabul Express and other films most of which got a positive review from critics.

So, whenever John Abraham is in doubt he asks Aditya Chopra for advice who is also his school senior from Bombay Scottish days. He said, “My most ruthless and best advisor is Aditya Chopra. My biggest critic is Aditya Chopra in the film space. If I do something, he will be like, ‘Why the hell did you screw this up?’ Or when I am doing something good, he will be like, ‘Yeah, it’s good.’”

Adding further he said, “I really look up to him and love his advice. There is no filter. He says it as it is. I get my advice from there.” In the interview he mentioned how Hrithik Roshan and Uday Chopra were his classmates in Bombay Scottish. However, in this conversation how did Karan Johar come into the picture?

John Abraham’s Names Another Supporter In Bollywood

Talking about advice and support from Bollywood peer John Abraham was all praise about Karan Johar and Aditya Chopra. Talking about Karan Johar, he shared how the filmmaker had always shown support for him even if he hadn’t worked for him for a long time.

He said, “The other person who I really love, and care about is Karan (Johar). I think he is one of the most wonderful people I have met. I don’t have any work with him in a long time, but he has always been there for me.”

During his comeback with Parmanu after a four-year hiatus in the film industry John Abraham shared how he approached Karan to watch his film and share his feedback. Karan didn’t disappoint with his criticism being forward with what he liked and what he didn’t. He added further, “There is a lot of criticism around Karan, but I am his strong supporter. I believe that he doesn’t deserve that.”

So, finally, Karan Johar has someone other than Alia Bhatt and Jaanvi Kapoor showing him support for his standing in Bollywood. Do you feel Karan Johar gets more flak than he deserved when it comes to Nepotism?
