Desi’s Identify the similarity between the two tracks!
Amidst all the love and appreciation, Indian fans definitely noticed the track that made them remember Rani’s theme song from the movie ‘Rock aur Rani ki Pream kahani’. The theme song features Indian bollywood actress Alia Bhatt and is from one the Dharma Production’s Hit movies of 2023. Like Jennie’s teaser song and the extended version of it that’s almost 24 seconds is released on Jennie’s instagram account. The song is very similar or can be almost exactly similar to Alia Bhatt’s Rani theme song.

The maker of the Rani theme song has often had plagiarism issues with other foreign artists. Did Jennie really copy Pritam?
Rani’s theme song was by famous Indian composer and musician Pritam Chakraborty and Singer Brianna Supriyo, making it one of the major hit & an iconic female theme song after Kareena’s Poo theme song in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham. Pritam is often accused by fans of copying other international artists but this is the first time that things went opposite. Fans are saddened by this accusation on Jennie and some are even claiming that it could be Pritam who had copied the song from some old Korean work which netizens are hesitating to deny as the artist has done something similar before. Which brings to our notice that throughout the years there has been many music and songs of bollywood that can be an exact copy of foreign artists without giving due credits.
“Like Jennie’ is definitely a copy” fans accusations and theory
The song starts with, “but have you ever met Jennie Jennie…” The song has similar beats and repetitive recitation of Jennie’s name similar to Rani’s theme beats and vocals.
Some have even claimed it’s an exact copy and Jennie is shameless to release and claim the piece as her own. Although we do not know if Pritam received any credits for that, desi fans are definitely flooding the comment section. Throughout the desi outrage the actor is still getting a lot of love and comments that this will be the album of the year. Are you a Jennie fan? Will you ignore if your favorite idol copies a song?
