Kaho Na Pyaar Hai launched Hrithik Roshan in Bollywood and the hearts of millions of fans. A 2000 hit film that garnered quite a craze for its music, dance numbers, plot, and, of course, the debuting stars, Ameesha Patel and Hrithik Roshan. Now, 25 years after the release of this blockbuster movie, Hrithik had something to share with his fans and family.
On one of the social media platforms, he shared his prep notes for Kaho Na Pyaar Hai while prepping for the movie 27 years ago. He captioned the post with, “My notes from 27 years ago. Prepping as an ACTOR for my first movie, ‘Kaho Na Pyaar Hai,’ I remember how nervous I was. Still am when starting a movie. I’d be embarrassed sharing these, but after 25 years of being in the industry, I guess I can handle it. Then to now, what’s changed? I see these pages and realize, absolutely nothing. Good thing? Bad thing? It’s just how it is (sic).
He further adds, “Only process remains. So much to be thankful for. So much to be grateful for. So much left to do. It’s the 25th anniversary of Kaho Na Pyaar Hai. And the ONLY thing I want to celebrate is these scribbles in my rough book. The only thing I am relieved about is the proof of resilience. The first page says “one day“ at the bottom. No such day happened; it never came. Or maybe it did, but I missed it cause I was in prep. #25yearsofkahonaapyaarhai”
Recently the film was re-released in theaters on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the film’s release and his birthday. Several fans of the films, along with their families and loved ones, rewatched the film in the cinema. Fans who previously missed the film in theaters in the 2000s got another chance to watch the film on the big screen, thus commemorating the big Silver Jubilee of the film.
So, this post comes regarding the 25-year celebration of the film, and it seems his prep notes post was even a shock for his father, Rakesh Roshan, the director of Kaho Na Pyaar Hai. His father commented, “Duggu Wow, I am also seeing it for the first time. God bless.” So, did you rewatch the film in theaters?
