In the course of his 25-year journey in the cinema industry, Abhishek Bachchan was awarded the Best Actor (Male) trophy at the 70th Filmfare Awards 2025 for his impeccable acting in the Shoojit Sircar’s directorial I Want To Talk (2024). Almost at his top emotions, he took the mic and told the audience about how long he had wished to live this moment. He thanked the filmmakers, cast, and the whole industry for the faith they had in him, but it was his devotion to family that appealed the most. “To Aishwarya and Aaradhya,” he remarked, “thank you for allowing me to go out and follow my dreams. Your sacrifices are one of the main reasons I stand here today.”
Abhishek was candid in admitting that he had famously practiced this speech in his mind over the years, wishing that this night would eventually arrive. He recognized that this award — won for playing a father trying to communicate with his daughter in I Want To Talk — was doubly rewarding since it reflected his own life. He gave the award to his father Amitabh Bachchan, his daughter Aaradhya, and particularly to Aishwarya, whom he praised as a hero whose quiet strength had made his dreams possible.
Bachchan’s dreamy moment also put to rest the recent rumors and speculation about their marriage. It was indeed a public display of love from Abhishek to Aishwarya that not only reaffirmed their relationship in front of the whole industry but also helped establish his image as a ‘family man’.
