The November-December issue of Vogue India published jaw-dropping pictures from its shoot with the legendary ‘Bobby’ actress that are making the internet go ‘WOW!’ Vogue India has always used Bollywood muses to showcase fashion and stories of celebrities.
However, what’s so different about this issue of Vogue? It’s age, which doesn’t limit one from living their life to the fullest. Dimple Kapadia, who made her comeback as an actress on the big screen in recent years, took the internet by storm with her breathtaking photos with minimal makeup and impeccable style.
In the age of filters and editing, you hardly find any pictures showing natural signs of aging. Dimple Kapadia confidently flaunts her wrinkles in an off-shoulder navy blue ensemble and a statement Sabyasachi necklace.
Her daughter, Twinkle Khanna, seems to be all praise for Mama commenting, “As the Super Mario Bros would say, ‘Mamma Mia!’” A fan commented, “A true mega beauty. And talent,” and words like icon, hair icon, and slay are being used to express appreciation for the veteran actress.
However, icons too get nervous before shooting for renowned fashion brands like Vogue. As Sandeep Khosla says, “It’s surprising that a woman as beautiful as Dimple is self-conscious about her appearance. She’d come out of her room dressed like an absolute dream and ask her pet dog if she was looking alright.”
Showing even stars feel underconfident in front of the camera. However, Dimple Kapadia didn’t let her self-consciousness reflect on the Vogue shoot because each picture from the shoot radiated timeless glamor and confidence. A motivation for all those out there whose dreams are shackled to their age.
