Concerts & Events or the go-to Promotion place for Bollywood

Concerts and events in India have become a new hub for Bollywood promotions. With major stars making surprise appearances, these shows are now key platforms for movie trailers, brand launches, and creating buzz around upcoming projects.

Bollywood stars using live events and concerts to promote movies and brands

India, home to many traditional and non-traditional artists, has seen a recent hype of concerts. Be it Dua Lipa’s in Mumbai, singing sensation Shreya’s soulful songs, Dil-luminati tour, and more, Indian pop culture is all about these artists and their shows. Although events and tours of various artists have always been a trend, recently, we have seen many solo artists performing. With the popularity of these artists there is a surge of people paying almost anything to grab the tickets. One of the key examples could be how cold play’s tickets were sold in a few minutes to hours. This says a lot about Indian youth these days, “If you don’t have Cold play tickets, are you even living?” People were constantly posting screenshots of their tickets, and our social media were full of typical memes.

But that’s not all these events are doing. The artists, events organizers, media, and ticket partners are definitely bagging money, but Bollywood comes with a bang to stay. We have recently seen many celebrities coming to concerts to launch their trailer or promote their brand. It almost feels like the shows have become the hub for Bollywood to launch or promote these movies. And we believe they aren’t wrong either. There are 10 times more people at these events than in movie theatres. This can be called the rise of global live events and a place for Bollywood to come and shine.

Bollywood’s foray into live events

Bollywood stars and celebrities are increasingly seen at these events promoting their brands and movies. Bollywood has always been a trendsetter, and if it’s trending, then you will definitely find the bollywood there. We recently saw Kartik Aryan joining the stage with Diljit Dosanjh to promote his movie Bhool Bhulaiya 3 in Ahmedabad. Then we saw Alia at Alan Walker’s show in Bangalore to promote her movie Jigra and Varun Dhavan at DJ Chetas’s show to promote his upcoming movie, Baby John. These events are used for mega promotions, launch events, special performances and just being there to gain popularity.

Why do you think this works?

Even if you aren’t physically present at the even or haven’t heard about it or bought tickets. Their are various social media platforms that posting highlights of the show reaching mass audience.

2. Strong emotional Response and Buzz:

Events or shows like these evoke strong emotions from people. When you go out there with your friends and family to listen to your favorite artist, the music, the energy and the entire vibe speaks to you. It’s definitely a noteworthy place where everyone has their phones out and will record everything and spread on social media.

3. Making Global trends and forming a synergy:

Collaborating with both national and international artists helps the industry reach a wider audience and create buzz. It’s also a doorway for entertainment for some celebs who haven’t been in the news for a lot of time. They would collaborate with an artist, give a special appearance, and be in the media news.

Events like these are reshaping the cultural landscape of the entertainment industry and bollywood with it’s nack for promotion is capitalizing these to make unforgettable campaigns. As these industries continue to intersect, we will have more trending and unforgettable moments. So our suggestion will be to stay tuned and book your next concert ticket.
