Chris Evans and Alba Baptista are New Parents with a Daughter

Hollywood superstar Chris Evans and Portuguese diva Alba Baptista welcome their first child, a girl named Alma Grace Baptista Evans.

Chris Evans-Alba Baptista

Chris Evans, the Captain America character, and his spouse, Alba Baptista, have decided on the silent option for the baby’s arrival. The child, who is called “Alma” for short, is not only the meaning of “soul” in both Portuguese and Spanish, but also a tribute to the actress’s background.

The two announced that they were dating in the early part of the year 2022 and later on, had a quiet wedding. They are now, as the source says, relishing these moments of parenthood in their close and private world.

From Superhero to Super Dad

Evans had already expressed his longing to start a family. In 2022, he said that love and relationships were the most significant triumphs in one’s life.

His daughter’s birth marks a transition to a new role, moving from action and Marvel productions to bottle feedings and first walking. The change is being embraced with enthusiasm by fans as well as the entertainment industry.

A Love Story That Is Quiet But Strong

Chris Evans and Alba Baptista have always been secretive about their affair. Their marriage in September 2023 was of double location – one in Cape Cod and the other in Portugal – and very little public confirmation was given.

Their move from hidden to public partnership is a great indicator of both their personal readiness and the kind of private world they have created together.

A New Chapter on the Work Front

The future of the Hollywood star Chris Evans is not only linked to the memory of Captain America but also to a whole new area of innovation. The movie Materialists (2025), a romantic comedy, brings him together with Dakota Johnson and Pedro Pascal under the direction of Celine Song. Furthermore, he will also be starring in Romain Gavras’ action thriller Sacrifice (2025) along with Anya Taylor-Joy, which is going to be a very daring switch in genres for him.  He is also rumoured to feature in another MCU film, Avengers: Doomsday (2026).

Portuguese Alba Baptista’s story is no less dramatic. She has been seen in the Netflix series Warrior Nun (2020-2022) and is now also connected with upcoming awaited theatrical projects such as Mother Mary and Voltron – this clearly indicates her transition from being popular on streaming services to getting more roles on the big screen.
