Indian audiences received a huge surprise during Holi when the ZEE5 streaming platform revealed its first look for Dalimb, which features Jitendra Kumar through his complete character transformation. The Dalimb poster showed Kumar in a dark and intense look that surprised fans because he usually plays relatable and friendly roles in his popular shows, Panchayat and Kota Factory.

A Bold Turn Into Psychological Drama

The Indian streaming service ZEE5 and Ellipsis Entertainment have worked together to create Dalimb, which Priya Aven has written and directed as her first movie project. The intense story shows how its main characters face their experiences of love and loss while trying to separate their memories from what actually happened and what is real from what exists only in their minds. The film uses suburban middle-class Mumbai as its setting to create an intense experience that will maintain viewer suspense throughout the story.

The First Look and Fan Reaction

The first Dalimb poster, which was released on March 2 for Holi festivities, immediately generated social media reactions. Kumar shows a completely different appearance because his typical roles through his haunting face and complex makeup create an effect that generates both interest and discomfort. The creators presented their first look poster, which they described as “Rangon ke beech ek aisa rahasya jo kabhi dikhta nahin.” The Holi celebration transforms into a warning because the color now serves this purpose. The myth that exists in #DALIMB watches over the story. The #ZEE5 platform will display the content at its upcoming release. #DalimbOnZEE 5.”

What drew Kumar to this project?

Jitendra Kumar explained his reasons for choosing the role of Suraaj after he learned about the character’s deep personality. The actor described Suraaj as having an emotional path that differs from his character development because he shows several layers of emotions. The production team and director, together with Kumar, created his work experience, which he described as both creative and smooth.

Jitendra Kumar described his character by saying. “When I heard the narration of Dalimb at the Ellipsis office last year, I was drawn to its honesty and the depth of the character. The character Suraaj has multiple dimensions because I believe different aspects of his personality will make a strong connection with the audience. The experience of collaborating with Priya, Tanuj, Atul, and the Ellipsis team proved to be both smooth and satisfying. The film will be shown to the audience, which I eagerly anticipate.”

Ensemble Cast and Creative Team

The Dalimb project stars Kumar together with a skilled cast that includes Priya Bapat and Kshitish Date and Kavin Dave and Sai Prasad and Harish Kulkarni and Sagar Yadav. The screenplay and dialogues have contributions from Varad Bhatnagar and Tanuj Garg, which increase the film’s narrative voice. The film will make its first appearance on ZEE5 in 2026, but no official release date has been revealed yet.

Looking Ahead to a Thrilling Experience

With its haunting first look and thematic promise of psychological tension, Dalimb is shaping up to be one of the more intriguing OTT premieres this year. The film shows both Jitendra Kumar’s transition to a new genre and ZEE5’s ongoing commitment to producing challenging high-concept stories that examine deep emotional themes.
