The IIFA Awards is the Indian equivalent of the Academy Awards (Oscars) that awards the best cinematic achievement in Bollywood or Hindi cinemas. For years, this award function has grown in popularity, leading to a three-day event at present. However, this year, the IIFA Awards in Jaipur saw a major shift to Indie films from big-studio films when it came to awards.

Just like the Oscars, IIFA celebrated the independent films of Bollywood and recognized their popularity among the Indian diaspora. Kiran Rao’s Laapataa Ladies took home 10 awards of the season, showing the power of Indie films in the sea of Bollywood’s Big-Budget films. Let’s take a look at all the IIFA Winners of this season.
