In recent episodes of Bigg Boss 19, composer-singer Amaal Mallik launched a series of verbal attacks at Awez Darbar, claiming several things. He accused Awez of having around 25 million Instagram followers, but said most of them are followers. He suggested Awez depends on collaborations (especially with people like Mallik) to get “business” or exposure, implying Awez isn’t a self-made personality.
Before the fight in this episode, Kunickaa Sadanand confronted Neelam Giri for sharing their private conversation with Zeishaan Quadri. The clash intensified when Awez, Pranit, and Mridul got involved. Feeling cornered and targeted, Neelam eventually broke down in tears. She later approached Amaal Mallik, revealing that Awez had been planning to pick a fight with him for the past four weeks- a disclosure that left Amaal visibly offended.
During a heated confrontation, Mallik told Awez to “Tu apna Darbar sambhal” (take care of your own domain), after calling him and others “chelas” (which means followers/disciples, but in this context derogatory).
#AmaalMallik about #AwezDarbar : 30 million mein se 25 million fraud followers hai iske. isko itna business diya h maine. bahar jaake if he has guts to refuse to me for work, tab manunga ye hai mard

The Responses: Pushback from Darbar’s Side & Beyond
Awez Darbar didn’t remain silent. During the argument, he asked Mallik to speak with respect: “Izzat se baat karo, chele-wele mat bolo”, showing that the remarks had visibly hurt him.
Nagma Mirajkar, Awez’s partner, also addressed the claims. She found Mallik’s statements “very disrespectful,” saying it was unfair to bring personal character and external relationships into the show. She pointed out that many people outside the house were watching, including families, and such comments could cause damage in society, too.
Ismail Darbar (Awez’s father, veteran music composer) openly criticised Mallik’s remarks. He dismissed the idea that Mallik “gives business” to Awez or that Awez is dependent on him. Ismail said Awez has made his own success. He went as far as to say Mallik “doesn’t yet have the standing (aukaat) to make such claims.”
imagine how embarrassing it is tht Amaal’s dad has to come on record n apologise for his son’s nasty words against Awez; cos Ismail Darbar (Awez dad) is a veteran in music industry n they r family friends#BiggBoss19

Fan & Public Reaction
On social media, many support Awez and Nagma, feeling Mallik crossed a line. Complaints centre around the idea that insulting and questioning someone’s character under the veil of “gameplay” isn’t acceptable at all.
Others defend Mallik, saying reality TV is about confrontation and that everyone uses dramatic language to stay relevant. Some say his remarks are harsh but expected as a part of a show like Bigg Boss.
Actress Gauahar Khan publicly condemned Mallik’s tone. She called his comments “disgusting,” especially the use of derogatory language and racist overtones (e.g., calling someone “zebra” in reference to Pranit More).
