Amaal Mallik Breaks Silence on Sachet-Parampara’s Bekhayali Controversy: “Go to Court If Needed”

After Bigg Boss 19, Amaal Mallik addresses Sachet-Parampara’s claims about the Kabir Singh song “Bekhayali.” He dismisses allegations, calls for legal resolution and defends his statements amid rising industry debate.

Music composer Amaal Mallik and Sachet-Parampara

Amaal Mallik, the music composer and the Bigg Boss 19 finalist, found himself in the middle of a new controversy when he was accused of making misleading claims about the origins of the hit song “Bekhayali” from the film Kabir Singh (2019) by fellow composers Sachet Tandon and Parampara Thakur. The pair insisted that Mallik and his partner had nothing to do with the song and thus demanded a public apology from Mallik. With this incident there were sparking debates across social media and music communities.

Sachet-Parampara’s Public Call-Out

Sachet–Parampara utilized social media platforms to publish a video that condemned Mallik’s statements, asserting that they were the ones who wrote the song “Bekhayali” together with the Kabir Singh crew, comprising director Sandeep Reddy Vanga and actor Shahid Kapoor. To substantiate their argument, they displayed screenshots of conversations and engagements, stressed that every tune, arrangement, and lyric was created during those sessions, and termed any implication to the contrary as false or misleading.

Amaal Mallik’s Response
In response to the backlash, Amaal Mallik broke his silence in an interview, rejecting the accusation of claiming ownership of the song. He clarified that he never stated “Bekhayali” was his song but mentioned sharing a musical idea with the duo, which he felt resembled parts of the track. Mallik encouraged anyone who disagreed to pursue formal defamation proceedings in court, framing his comments as open to legal scrutiny rather than public debate.

According to reports, Amaal Mallik, in an interview, spoke up and denied the accusation of claiming the song’s ownership. He said that he did not mean to say that “Bekhayali” was his song; rather, he had a musical idea in common with the duo, which he considered to be a part of the track. Mallik told his critics to take the matter to court for defamation if they could not agree with him, putting his remarks as legally scrutinized rather than publicly debated. Amaal added that he has never asserted ownership of songs written by other people. “Kisika credit khaya? Not at all. Kabhi bola ki yeh gaana mera hai ya bola ki recreate nahi kiya? People say “maine banaya” and put their names on other people’s tunes. I’ve never done that. Has a composer whose music I replicated woken up and declared that my song has been ruined? Never. You go observe what has previously occurred.

Media Interactions and Public Reaction

Previously When the media approached Mallik for an instant reaction, he just remained cool under pressure and did not get deeply involved with the issue, just giving a nice “All the best” and letting his team step in. His very mild reaction has added further to the discussions in the cyberworld, where fans and critics are taking sides. Now he is openly speaking about the matter and even asked why the matter was not resolved through legal channels instead of being made public. He mentioned that people never come to him with their problems openly because many people consider him a scary person. Instead, they prefer to complain on social media instead of going for a court case. He urged that if anyone really has an issue, they should go to the courts and file a case for defamation if they think he has stolen their music.

Industry and fan discussions intensify

The conflict has become a point of interest not only because of the people concerned, among them Amaal’s recent rise as a reality TV star, but also because of the larger issues of music production in Bollywood, such as credit, originality, and artistic ownership. Social media users and music experts have discussed the intricacies of collaboration and inspiration, and on the other hand, there are some who have asked both parties to obtain clarification through official channels rather than through social media conversations.
