Bollywood enthusiasts were in for a nostalgic treat as Akshay Kumar and Shilpa Shetty reunited after 30 years at the HT India’s Most Stylish Awards 2025. The sizzling duo, who once lit up the silver screen with their chemistry, brought back memories as they danced on their classic song “Chura Ke Dil Mera” from Main Khiladi Tu Anari (1994).
A Night of Glamour & Nostalgia
The star-studded affair, which was organized by Hindustan Times, welcomed some of the trendiest stars from Bollywood. Akshay, true to the Classic Ivory Glamour theme, wore a dashing all-white suit, while Shilpa made a stunning impression in a Manish Malhotra saree. The evening, however, belonged to their spontaneous dance, which brought back the good old ’90s days for fans.
A timeless Bollywood couple
Back in 1994, Alka Yaganik and Kumar Sanu’s Chura Ke Dil Ka Mara, became a cult classic, mainly courtesy of Akshay and Shilpa’s Sijling Chemistry. Even thirty years later, his reunion served as a reminder that his attraction is still alive. The audience could not help, but share their enthusiasm, eagerly waiting for a possible cooperation on the screen.
Bollywood’s Best in Attendance
Aside from Akshay and Shilpa, the evening featured appearances by Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Farhan Akhtar, Shibani Dandekar, Rekha, Abhishek Bachchan, and Shikhar Dhawan. It was indeed an evening of style, reminiscence, and entertainment, one of the most memorable award nights of the year.
Will Akshay and Shilpa be appearing on screen together anytime soon? We can only hope!
