Are you tired of Gen Z, Millennial, and Gen Alpha debates? 2025 brings in a new wave of generations, Gen Beta who will be born at the peak of technology innovation and a booming AI industry. A generation of leaders, innovators, and expert digital natives set to grow alongside Artificial Intelligence.
Gen Alpha is still in the growing phase and now comes a generation that can give even a challenge to the last generation. Gen Beta starts on 1st January 2025 and will last up to 2039. In the next decade, this generation will dominate 16 percent of the global population. So, an exciting generation of individuals is set to be born across the globe at the peak of technological advancement.
Researcher Mark McCrindle said that some of them will also get to see the upcoming 22nd century. He is credited with segregating different generations while defining and labeling them. Generation segregation was done to make studying different generations simpler.
The different generations’ labels consist of Builders (individuals born between 1925-1945); Boomers (1946-1964); Gen Y or Millennials (1980-1994); Gen Z (1995-2009); Gen Alpha (2010-2024); and now Gen Beta (2025-2039).
The latest generations are given names according to the Greek alphabet, like Gen Alpha, Beta, and so on. Gen Alpha’s naming highlights the beginning of a new generation and era in human history.
On Gen Beta’s naming, McCrindle shares, “Baby Boomers are entering their retirement years with different expectations, while Builders are focusing more on relationships and building a legacy. The pace of generational change is accelerating, and organizations need to recognize these shifts to engage in a way that is relevant to each.”
Gen Beta will be the children of Millennials and older Gen Z who often clash online because of different opinions on life, especially the workplace and personal space. Now, their children will sprinkle more entertainment as they grow up with Artificial Intelligence and technologies since birth.
The question remains, ‘Will Gen Beta start coding from the cradle and innovate before nap time? Or create a new world order for the upcoming generation?’ What’s your take on this upcoming generation?
